SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT SST?
TSS is very rare, both in general and with the use of menstrual products. It is very dangerous and, in some circumstances, can be fatal if left untreated. TSS can occur for several reasons and is caused by toxic strains of bacteria entering the bloodstream.
Symptoms of TSS:
- Sudden fever
- Attack of chills
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Muscle pain
- Decrease in blood pressure
- Dizziness
If symptoms appear, remove the FUN CUP and see a doctor. Be sure to tell your doctor that you have used an insertable menstrual product. If you have had TSS previously, using the FUN CUP is not recommended. To reduce the risk of TSS, follow the instructions for use.
